As a Sr. Vice President of Construction, Mr. Hinds oversees the corporate due diligence, renovation and development efforts as it relates to design and construction issues and activities.  Due diligence includes directing third party engineering assessments and investigations of properties under consideration for acquisition, as well as developing capital budget information needed to perform the financial underwriting of the various assets under consideration.  Renovation and development efforts include managing the design development process, the construction costing efforts, the entitlement procurement, the contract negotiation and the construction implementation required to successfully execute asset management’s business plan.  Mr. Hinds has over 25 years experience representing ownership groups on the development or renovation of numerous multi-family and commercial projects nationally, most recently with Golub & Company LLC as a Development Manager where he directed the design, entitlement and construction activities as a part of the development team for The Streeter, a 50-story, 480-unit apartment community located in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago.  Prior to Golub, Mr. Hinds acted as Development Manager for U S Equities managing the design and construction activities for the development of Grand Plaza, a twin-tower 54-story mixed-use complex located in the River North section of Chicago.

Previous to Mr. Hinds’ experience at U S Equities, he worked as a consultant performing acquisition due diligence on various commercial and multi-family assets for several real estate fund managers. Prior to that, he was a Senior Project Manager for Brookdale Living Communities managing the design and construction activities associated with the development of several senior housing communities nationally.  Prior to that he worked for JMB Properties, as well as Heitman Properties managing renovation and capital enhancement of numerous commercial, industrial and multi-family housing assets nationally.  Mr. Hinds is a licensed architect.
